Absolutely fantastic service. I highly recommend Emma. Obi (7 month old Golden Retriever/Saint Bernard) has been loving his sessions. We opted for the puppy bundle, and in all honesty, Emma is underselling what she does over those four sessions. From her in-depth understanding of dogs, to the way she explains her methods, and her adapting to each dog’s needs has been amazing to listen to and watch her implement with her interactions with Obi.

Nervous/Reactive Dog Grooming
Grooming nervous and reactive dogs requires extra skills and patience. I have training and experience with nervous and reactive dogs. I have also been trained in safe handling techniques for dogs and how to reduce stress.

My 4-session package is designed to build your dog’s confidence and to help me build trust with your dog. Nervous dogs require a calm approach and the patience to allow them to get comfortable with the grooming area and the different stages of grooming.
The aim is to desensitise your dog using positive reinforcement and adapting the grooming regime to suit your dog’s individual needs.
Nervous/reactive dogs often find grooming stressful, which triggers the “fight or flight” reflex. Showing emotion, trying to escape, barking and howling are all common symptoms.
My 4-session package is designed to introduce your dog to the grooming process, allowing time for your dog to feel safe and as relaxed as possible. Grooming sessions are tailored to your dog’s needs.
